Trevor Van Camp planned a surprise engagement to Danielle Jenkins at Boyne Mountain Resort's SkyBridge Michigan after she had been sending him TikToks of the attraction. The couple rode the chairlift and stepped onto the 1,200-foot-long suspension bridge suspended 118 feet above the Boyne Valley. Trevor dropped to one knee and Danielle accepted, but the engagement ring slipped from his fingers and fell through the bridge's open metal grating into the snow below. The couple searched for two and a half hours in the dark, using a metal detector provided by Pat Harper, the resort's night-shift snowmaking supervisor. By around 10 p.m., Trevor and Danielle were exhausted.
