
"There's still nearly 2 months until the end of winter and the start of spring, but one Pennsylvania ski resort is already stating their intentions for what they hope will be their longest season in their history. A Mountain Update from Camelback Resort VP & General Manager Jason Bays discussed their plans for the spring. Right now, Camelback is planning to keep skiing and snowboarding going daily until April 12th, but it hopefully won't end there."
"With 20-30 foot piles of stockpiled snow, Camelback hopes to keep skiing going on weekends into May, marking the longest ski season in Pennsylvania and potentially one of the longest ski seasons in the East. Camelback, located in the Poconos, has 11 lifts for skiing and snowboarding and 2 lifts for tubing. There are 39 named trails spread across the mountain."
Camelback Resort plans to keep skiing and snowboarding running daily through April 12, with hopes to continue on weekends into May. The resort has stockpiled 20 to 30 foot piles of snow to support an extended season. An extended spring schedule could become the longest ski season in Pennsylvania and one of the longest in the Eastern United States. Camelback is located in the Poconos and operates 11 lifts for skiing and snowboarding, two tubing lifts, and 39 named trails across the mountain.
