Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe will open the 2025-26 winter season Friday, November 21, following early storms and cold temperatures that enabled robust snowmaking. The Lakeview Express will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., providing access to intermediate runs including Kit Carson Traverse, Kit Carson Bowl, and Ponderosa. Beginner terrain is not available on opening day but is expected to open as snowmaking continues. Pondo Park terrain features are planned to come online beginning Saturday, November 22. Main Lodge parking and food services will operate 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rentals, tuning, and private lessons becoming available as conditions permit.
