A lieutenant from the Placer County Office of Emergency Management organized resources overnight, and the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue team was activated early Thursday morning. 15 skiers, supported by a snowcat and two snowmobiles, deployed to search the mountain. Members of Northstar Ski Patrol also assisted in the operation. At approximately 9 a.m., search teams located the man deceased."
