Michigan Ski Resort Announces Latest Closing Date In History
Boyne Mountain Resort will keep its lifts operating through Memorial Day weekend, setting the latest closing date in its history and ending a record-setting season on Monday, May 25. Skiing and riding will run Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm, with Monday as the final day. Only Victor Glacier will be open during the final weekend, and conditions remain strong with a six to seven foot snowpack for late May in the Great Lakes region. The resort will host a community event at Victor Glacier on Saturday with coffee, donuts, and a silent auction benefiting the Boyne Forever Foundation. Weather is expected to be variable, with Monday forecast to be mostly sunny and near 75 degrees. Lift operations remain limited to Victor Glacier, and guests are asked to ski responsibly and watch for families and less experienced skiers navigating spring conditions.
"Lift operations are limited to Victor Glacier for all three days, with the 9am to 1pm window applying Saturday through Monday. The resort is reminding guests to ski and ride responsibly and to be aware of other guests on the mountain, particularly families and less experienced skiers who may be navigating spring conditions for the first time."
