Maine's Largest Ski Resort Targets November 21st For Opening Date
"Maine's ski areas often go overlooked, but the state is home to quite a lot of fantastic mountains both big and small. I'm certainly biased on the topic, but all of Maine's resorts have a lot of charm, whether big or small. Maine's largest ski resort, Sugarloaf, is getting ready to celebrate their 75th season, a big milestone at this fantastic mountain."
"Right now, opening day is set for November 21st, 2025, with the SuperQuad Chairlift spinning starting at 7:30am. To celebrate the start of their 75th season, the first 75 people in line will receive a collectable 75th buff. That's not the only way the mountain is celebrating 75 years, either. On Saturday, December 6th, a 75th Anniversary Kickoff Party will be hosted at Widowmaker, though further details on that are yet to be announced."
Maine hosts many ski areas of varying size and charm, with Sugarloaf as the state's largest resort celebrating its 75th season. Opening day is scheduled for November 21, 2025, with the SuperQuad Chairlift spinning at 7:30am and the first 75 people in line receiving a collectable 75th buff. A 75th Anniversary Kickoff Party is set for December 6 at Widowmaker, with additional details pending. Starting February 3, skiers and snowboarders who reach 75 days on the mountain will receive a special 75th anniversary pin. A 75th anniversary gala will be held March 7 in the King Pine Room. Lift tickets for opening day are available on the Sugarloaf website.
