""We were skiing steep stuff and trying to compete, and we'd be up on a line and be like 'What do we do?' and it's like just point it dude!' So that was our line to get down the steepest stuff was just point it.""
""The skis are totally designed around Taos," Wolff said. "I grew up at skiing Santa Fe and Pajarito and when I moved to Taos I was like 'man this is where it's at.' I mean the terrain around here is super steep and narrow and technical.""
"Their rallying cry on the hill, "Just point it," captured the way they approached those runs."
Just Point It began from the Wolff brothers' steep skiing in New Mexico and a mantra to commit: "Just point it." Early merchandise debuted in 2010 and inspired efforts to produce skis. After a partnered manufacturer folded, Ted learned ski building and launched the first company model in 2016 with a Never Summer rider. Skis are purpose-built for Taos' steep, narrow terrain and are produced in small batches. Each season features new artwork from local artists, giving the gear a collectible, regionally rooted identity.
