Hunter Mountain began snowmaking last Friday and will continue whenever conditions allow to deliver premium skiing and riding. Over 170 new snowguns were added to signature terrain to increase coverage and accelerate opening. The resort offers 67 trails across 320 skiable acres with a 1,600-foot vertical drop and elevations from 1,600 to 3,200 feet. Terrain includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs, plus glades and three terrain parks. Lift infrastructure includes 12 lifts, including high-speed six-packs. The mountain participates in the Epic Pass and features slope-side lodging at The Kaatskill Mountain Club. The resort pioneered snowmaking and automated systems.
