Freeride World Tour canceled the Georgia Pro because unsafe snowpack conditions and structural instability at Mestia prevented meeting safety standards for athletes and staff. Officials, mountain safety teams, and local experts conducted extensive evaluations and assessed multiple venue and scheduling options before concluding conditions would not sufficiently improve within the available window. The Georgia Pro had been scheduled as the third stop of the 2026 FWT season. Mestia is known for steep terrain, deep snowpack, and complex avalanche conditions. The tour prioritized safety and fair competition, is evaluating a possible reschedule during the Fieberbrunn Pro weather window, and thanked local organizers, the community, and fans.
