Gu attempted a double cork 1080 on the second run, tumbled hard onto her right side, skied out and acknowledged fans after the fall. Marin Hamill placed second with 71.38 and Lara Wolf third with 67.85. Gus win marked her 20th World Cup victory and extended her record in the Freeski Park & Win category. In the men's final, Birk Ruud claimed his third consecutive Laax Open with 85.08, Matj ancer finished second with 84.08 and Evan McEachran third.
