In the women's giant slalom first run, Thea Louise Stjernesund, Sara Hector and Colturi recorded 1:03.97 to share the lead. Valerie Grenier went fifth, 0.29s off the lead. Scheib of Austria slotted fifth, 0.39s off the lead. Moltzan of the USA made mistakes on the lower half and finished fourth. Mikaela Shiffrin was third, 0.28s behind the leaders. The second run was scheduled for 12:30 and GB men were due to play Switzerland later in the day.
