Vero Fiber Expands into Montana with MtnMax Acquisition
Briefly

Vero Broadband LLC has acquired Montana Digital LLC, expanding its footprint in the fiber broadband market across Montana. CEO Sunita Krishna expressed enthusiasm about building upon Montana Digital's success and integrating its operations with Vero's strategy focused on regional partnerships. The acquisition supports Vero's growth ambitions as they also engage in projects across California, Colorado, and Texas, with recent funding received for multiple broadband initiatives. However, details regarding the acquisition terms were not disclosed, and the current subscriber status of Vero's systems remains unclear.
"We are thrilled to welcome Montana Digital to the Vero family," Vero Broadband CEO Sunita Krishna said in a press release.
"Montana Digital has built an impressive fiber broadband business, and we are excited to build upon its success. This acquisition aligns with our strategy of partnering with regional providers to scale operations while maintaining a strong local presence."
The biggest winner was the Southern Colorado Economic Development District, which received only $200,000 more than Vero, which won $3.2 million for two projects.
Last September 26, the California Public Utilities Commission announced approval of $172 million in last mile funding for 14 broadband projects.
