Police shoot, kill man at California In-N-Out parking lot
Briefly

The incident occurred on April 30 when police were called to the In-N-Out restaurant in Manteca, California, due to a disturbance. The suspect, a Lathrop man, escalated the confrontation by ramming his vehicle into three police cars, prompting officers to respond with gunfire. After being hospitalized, the suspect succumbed to his injuries on May 1. He had an extensive criminal history. This incident follows other notable disruptions involving the fast-food chain, raising concerns about safety at their locations.
On May 1, a Lathrop man died of his injuries following an altercation with police outside the In-N-Out restaurant located at 1490 E. Yosemite Ave. in Manteca.
Manteca police were dispatched to the In-N-Out store to respond to a disturbance in the restaurant's drive-thru, where the suspect first rammed a van into a police vehicle.
Officers attempted to deescalate the situation for 20 minutes, but when the suspect rammed into two more police vehicles, the officers discharged their firearms.
The investigation is ongoing, and it's worth noting that In-N-Out has seen similar altercations before, including a recent mass brawl outside a different location.
