Matthew Zucca, formerly the Assistant Director of Utilities in Palo Alto, has been appointed as the general manager for Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW). The agency, which experienced recent controversy involving sexual harassment settlements, looks to rehabilitate its public image under Zucca's leadership. Zucca brings over 30 years of experience in the wastewater industry and aims to enhance public engagement and community visibility regarding the agency's contributions. He replaces Teresa Herrera, who focused on operational improvements and capital campaigns during her tenure.
"I'm honored to join a team so deeply committed to protecting public health and the environment," said Zucca. "SVCW has long been a leader in wastewater treatment, and I look forward to building on that foundation by expanding public engagement and making sure our communities see and understand the value we provide every day."
Silicon Valley Clean Water has announced the hiring of Matthew Zucca as general manager after a nationwide search, succeeding Teresa Herrera.
