At TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Artistic Director Giovanna Sardelli is preparing for a world premiere musical while addressing a recent $10,000 funding cut from the National Endowment for the Arts. Designed to workshop new plays, the grant’s loss comes at a challenging time for the company. Sardelli, who once worked in Las Vegas as a magician’s assistant, found her passion in directing. The upcoming show, inspired by Ed Grazcyk's play, explores themes of reconnection and growth through a group of friends who reunite years later in their hometown.
