What China's rise in chemistry means for the rest of the world
China leads chemistry research performance in the Nature Index. Since 2015, China’s chemistry output has risen by almost 350%. The latest data show a chemistry Share of more than 19,500. This contribution is higher than all other top 50 countries combined. Among Chinese institutions, the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei ranks second in the subject after the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. The University of Science and Technology of China has a chemistry Share of 536, which is higher than Spain’s 491 and Canada’s 470, which are ranked 9th and 10th among countries.
