John A. Rogers received the Royal Society Bakerian Medal for foundational scientific and engineering contributions to bioelectronics. He was elected a Royal Society Fellow in May. Sir Adrian Smith noted that the medal recipients made outstanding contributions to science, advanced understanding of natural processes, reformed academic practices toward greater inclusivity, and engaged new audiences. Rogers expressed gratitude for recognition of collaborative work at the intersection of engineering and medicine and announced plans to deliver a public Bakerian Lecture in April at the Royal Society, noted as the first Bakerian Lecture to focus on engineering science in many years. Rogers holds professorships at Northwestern and directs the Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics.
