LEGO Mineral Collection lets you build and display realistic-looking minerals - Yanko Design
"LEGO's Mineral Collection brings geological wonders to life in brick form. Originally conceived as a fan submission through LEGO Ideas, the 880-piece Mineral Collection has been professionally developed into a complete set now available for pre-order. Designed to captivate both geology enthusiasts and LEGO builders, this set allows you to construct six beautifully detailed mineral specimens that double as educational tools and display pieces. These models naturally spark conversations about Earth's geological formations while showcasing LEGO's creative potential."
"The collection features golden pyrite with its characteristic metallic shine, purple amethyst with translucent quartz elements, banded reddish-pink rhodochrosite, cubic blue fluorite crystals, color-zoned watermelon tourmaline, and vibrant tangerine quartz. LEGO designers have meticulously recreated each mineral's unique properties using specialized bricks. Transparent elements capture crystal clarity, metallic finishes mimic natural luster, and textured pieces reproduce authentic surface variations. The results are so lifelike that completed models could easily be mistaken for actual mineral samples at first glance."
An 880-piece LEGO Mineral Collection enables builders to assemble six detailed mineral specimens that function as educational models and display pieces. The set recreates pyrite, amethyst, rhodochrosite, fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, and tangerine quartz using transparent, metallic, and textured bricks to simulate crystal clarity, natural luster, and surface variation. The completed models are highly realistic and can be mistaken for real mineral samples. Three modular shelf units measure about 7 inches tall by 11 inches wide and 3 inches deep and can be connected or separated for versatile presentation on desks, bookshelves, or as standalone displays. The set originated as a LEGO Ideas fan submission and is available for pre-order.
