China sent an AI to its space station, to plan spacewalks
Briefly

Taikonauts aboard China’s Tiangong space station utilized an AI model named Wukong to prepare for a significant spacewalk. This model, based on a homegrown open-source AI by iFlytek, provides critical support by producing work schedules and guidance for extravehicular activities. The AI, running on cloud-based Loongson CPUs, performs deep analysis on Earth and solves complex challenges in orbit. The spacewalk also marked the extended usage of a spacesuit, while new suits with improved durability and safety are slated for future missions as support for the taikonauts.
