Chabot Observatory will host a live Total Lunar Eclipse watch party on the Observation Deck. Guests should bring lawn chairs and can enjoy eclipse-themed crafts and demonstrations while Chabot astronomers guide viewing. Attendees can get hot cocoa and watch the Moon become engulfed in Earth's umbral shadow, reddening as sunlight refracts through Earth's atmosphere. In case of fog or rain, all programming will move indoors and a clear-sky livestream of the eclipse will play in the 70-foot full-dome Planetarium.
