Constadina (Dina) Arvanitis, PhD, directs Feinberg's Center for Advanced Microscopy and the Nikon Imaging Center. She received the 2025 Royal Microscopical Society Vice President's Award as the first American honoree. The award recognizes behind-the-scenes leadership and service to the global microscopy community. Under her direction, CAM became one of the most versatile imaging hubs in the United States and one of nine Nikon Imaging Centers worldwide. Her work supports research from whole-organism imaging to single-molecule analysis and advances cancer research through microscopy contributions. She introduced advanced technologies such as the MIRAVA Polyscope and prioritizes inclusive leadership and mentoring to build capacity and share expertise internationally.
