Warsofsky to coach Team USA at Worlds; which other Sharks might go?

Ryan Warsofsky, the young head coach of the San Jose Sharks, has been appointed head coach for Team USA in the upcoming IIHF World Championships. This will be his second time coaching the American team, following an experience as an assistant in 2023 when they achieved a fourth-place finish. Warsofsky plans to collaborate with the U.S. general manager and others to finalize the coaching staff and roster. Additionally, several Sharks players may join international teams, showcasing their talent on a global stage.
Warsofsky, the NHL's youngest head coach at 37, was also an assistant on the 2023 American entry, which won eight straight games in the tournament and finished fourth.
It was a great staff, and it was a great experience. Obviously came up a little short, but it’s in a unique tournament that you need to experience.
Warsofsky, U.S. general manager Jeff Kealty, and assistant executive director of USA Hockey John Vanbiesbrouck will collaborate to finalize a coaching staff and roster for the tournament.
