The San Jose Sharks have signed Cam Lund, the 34th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, to an entry-level contract. Lund recently completed his third season with Northeastern University, finishing with 40 points and earning a spot on the Hockey East Third All-Star Team after a strong tournament performance. Sharks GM Mike Grier praised Lund's speed, size, and skill, expressing excitement for his development within the organization. Lund will join the Sharks shortly, after competing in a double-overtime finals match against Maine.
"Cam is a very talented player who brings speed, size, and skill to our group," said Sharks General Manager Mike Grier after announcing Lund's deal.
Lund just wrapped up his 2024-25 season with Northeastern University, helping the Huskies all the way to the Hockey East tournament finals.
According to the Bay Area News Group's Curtis Pashelka, Lund will join the Sharks when he gets to the West Coast, though it may take a few days.
The 20-year-old finished his season with 40 points (18 G, 22 A) and was named to the Hockey East Third All-Star Team.
