Celebrini scores, Georgiev shines but Sharks lose in OT to extend skid
Briefly

In overtime, Jake DeBrusk secured a 2-1 victory for the Vancouver Canucks against the San Jose Sharks, who are struggling with their tenth consecutive loss. Linus Karlsson also scored for Vancouver, while Sharks' Macklin Celebrini, the rookie standout, netted his 25th goal. Celebrini shared his excitement about playing and scoring in the arena where he grew up skating. Despite the loss, Sharks' coach Ryan Warsofsky noted the team's effort, although he highlighted occasional lapses in concentration. Nikita Tolopilo made his NHL debut, stopping 15 shots to help secure the win.
I thought we competed. I thought we had some pretty good effort. I just think at times our brains weren't there, which I don't know if that's to be expected or not, but it's the National Hockey League, so your brains have to be on.
Scoring in this building, I think it was just a dream as a kid to play in the NHL, and then scoring here is pretty cool.
