Rikki's-the First SF Bar Dedicated to Women's Sports- Set to Open in Early June 2025 - San Francisco Bay Times
Briefly

Rikki's Women's Sports Bar, set to open in June 2025 during Pride Month, will be San Francisco's first establishment dedicated to women's sports. Located at 2223 Market Street, it aims to create an inclusive environment for fans by mirroring successful models from similar bars nationwide. The Co-Founder, Sara Yergovich, emphasized the importance of this venue as women's professional sports in the Bay Area gain momentum with new teams joining leagues. Inspired by Rikki Streicher, a key figure in the local women's sports and queer communities, Rikki's will offer a community-focused space for enjoyment and connection.
"With the additions of Bay Football Club (Bay FC) to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) in 2024, and the Valkyries to the WNBA in 2025, this is a critical time of growth in women's professional sports in the Bay Area and we're excited for Rikki's to be part of it," said Sara Yergovich, Co-Founder of Rikki's.
More than just a place to watch a game, Rikki's aspires to foster a vibrant and inclusive community for women's sports enthusiasts.
Rikki's aims to build a welcoming atmosphere where fans can connect, cheer on their favorite athletes, and enjoy delicious food and drinks.
The intention to highlight inclusivity and build the space with community is in keeping with the work and life of Rikki Streicher, for whom the bar is named.
