A 22-year-old right-handed pitcher began 2026 with three strong High-A starts for the Vancouver Canadians. He struck out eight over five one-run innings in his debut, then struck out 10 and walked three over five scoreless innings in his second start. In his third start, he allowed one hit and one walk over five innings while striking out 10, lowering his High-A ERA to 0.60. Across his first 15 innings, he recorded 28 strikeouts and a 51 K% with a 9.1 BB% since joining the Canadians. After a 2024 Single-A season and Tommy John surgery that caused him to miss all of 2025, he returned with a 1.71 ERA and 2.51 FIP in 21 Single-A innings, and now has a 1.25 ERA over 36 innings in eight outings.
"The New Mexico product looks like an entirely different pitcher to begin the 2026 season. In 21 innings with the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays, Perry had a 1.71 ERA and 2.51 FIP in 21 innings pitched, with a 41 K% and 7.7 BB%. Overall, Perry now has a 1.25 ERA in 36 innings pitched over eight outings."
