In Sacramento, Melissa Anthony, a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, found her community after moving from Kansas City in 2018. Despite initial doubts about finding fellow fans in a city dominated by 49ers and Raiders supporters, she turned to social media and discovered Field House American Sports Pub. Initially a small gathering, the group grew into a significant Chiefs fan base, creating a unique identity for the bar, and fostering a sense of camaraderie among fans who celebrate the sport together.
What started as a small group of four people has over the years turned into a game day ritual for Chiefs fans in the capital region.
We have turned this into a Chiefs bar, the only Chiefs bar in Sacramento. It has grown, and we love it.
We all come together as a family, and we have one common interest, and that's the Chiefs.
The owner, Matt, said, 'Hey, I got a bar, and I'm a Chiefs fan,' and I've never left.
