'Philly Takeover': 49ers fans heading east to this weekend's playoff game against Eagles
"From Sunday night until this very moment, it's been nonstop, planning, signing contracts for events,"
"We took over that stadium there was so much 49ers fans in there, Eagles fans by halftime I've never seen them leave the stadium at half time they left. It's becoming a rivalry I guess but it's becoming a good rivalry,"
"For us to be where we are, you know as a faithful, what more can you ask for. The team has definitely, you know, shown up and shown out and our coach - he should be coach of the year,"
"Now we're like ok we booked our flights, we bought our tickets, me and my two coworkers are going to be heading out there on Saturday. How are you feeling? I'm excited, my coworkers are excited,"
Avery Keyes, president of PA Faithfuls and a Pennsylvania resident, is finalizing plans for a Philly Takeover featuring events starting Friday and a stadium tailgate on gameday. Keyes expects upwards of a thousand San Francisco 49ers fans to attend, with 600 free tickets reserved by Tuesday afternoon. This marks Keyes' fifth Philly Takeover. Past takeovers saw heavy 49ers presence in the stadium, prompting Eagles fans to leave by halftime. Bay Area groups including the Niner Empire and caterer Carlos Moran are traveling to Philadelphia; Moran reports excitement and that this will be his first away game.
