"For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner. This week, we consider performances from Sept. 22-27. Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Vote as many times as you'd like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting. Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted."
The Bay Area News Group conducts a weekly boys Athlete of the Week poll covering performances from Sept. 22-27 and invites reader voting. Voting rules prohibit the use of bots and email votes, and ballots submitted after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted; readers may vote multiple times before the deadline. Nominations are accepted at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. Monday, and MaxPreps statistics submitted by coaches or team statisticians are reviewed. Nominees include Bryan Bullock (10-for-10, 328 yards, six touchdowns), Teddy Dacey (299 yards, three touchdowns), Christiaan D'souza (seven goals, 10 steals, one assist), and Ian Garrick (three catches, 201 yards, two touchdowns).
