The Outer Sunset Is Having Another July 4th Parade, This Time on July 4th
Briefly

After nearly 50 years, San Francisco has revived its Fourth of July parade tradition, this time as a family-friendly neighborhood event in Sunset Dunes. District 4 Supervisor Joel Engardio initiated the revival with last year’s smaller parade coinciding with Pride Weekend. This year, the parade will be officially held on July 4th, 2025, with pre-parade festivities including marching bands, a fire truck, and activities for children like bounce houses and face painting, emphasizing community celebration and local joy.
Mark your calendar for July 4, 2025 and every Independence Day after that. It's true, as Engardio's newsletter announced the event will be back.
To celebrate the Fourth of July with a good old-fashioned neighborhood parade, the Friends of Sunset Dunes emphasizes community joy and fun activities for families.
