Four new dedicated pickleball courts at Crocker Amazon Playground open on Friday, August 22, 2025. The facility replaces a former volleyball court and was converted by SF Rec & Park to meet rising local demand. Reservations are currently free, and a $5 booking fee will start in October. The project is part of a citywide effort to convert underused spaces into pickleball courts, growing from 12 courts in 2018 to over 90 today. Courts can be reserved online through SF Rec & Park. Address: Moscow St. and Geneva St., San Francisco, CA.
San Francisco just added four shiny new pickleball courts at Crocker Amazon Playground which open on Friday, August 22, 2025. The space used to be a volleyball court, but with pickleball fever sweeping the city, SF Rec & Park turned it into dedicated courts for dinking, smashing, and all-around fun. Right now, reservations are free (score!) but starting in October it'll cost you $5 to book a spot.
Crocker Amazon is part of a bigger citywide push to find underused spaces and turn them into much-needed pickleball courts. In 2018, San Francisco had just 12 courts. Today? Over 90 and counting. Want to play? Courts can be reserved online through SF Rec & Park.
