SF 19th Avenue repavement project complete, all lanes now open: Caltrans
All lanes on San Francisco’s 19th Avenue reopened ahead of schedule after completion of a final multi-round road repair project between Sloat Boulevard and Holloway Avenue. Northbound lanes reopened at 2:30 a.m., and southbound lanes reopened at 6 a.m. The upgrades were designed to improve traffic flow after severe temporary congestion caused by earlier work. The project included repaving and repairing potholes and unsound pavement. Work proceeded in stages, with northbound repairs during the day and southbound repairs at night, while one lane remained open for public transit, emergency responders, and local traffic. The improvements are expected to last for 20 years.
