The Bay Bridge lights will officially return with a lighting ceremony along San Francisco's Embarcadero. Local businesses and residents express excitement about the lights' return, believing it will enhance the city's appeal. The public art installation, which first debuted in 2013, went dark three years ago due to environmental damage. Nonprofit Illuminate raised $11 million for repairs, resulting in an improved installation with double the lights and new patterns. Local restaurants anticipate increased foot traffic and excitement from visitors.
