Nima Momeni was found guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Cash App founder Bob Lee. The verdict followed an approximately seven-week trial and seven days of jury deliberations. More than 13 months after conviction, sentencing has not occurred. Momeni's new attorney, Daniel Shriro, intends to move for a new trial but reports incomplete trial transcripts that prevent filing the motion. Shriro says one court reporter produced many transcripts while another produced none. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins says a court reporter is on leave, contributing to the delay. No sentencing can occur while a new-trial motion is pending. Bob Lee's family seeks closure.
