Diane Perkins has officially been appointed as the permanent city manager of Monte Sereno after serving in the interim role since September. Perkins took over the position following Steve Leonardis's departure. She will manage daily city operations and implement policies while overseeing all departments. Perkins is dedicated to key initiatives such as wildfire prevention, budget balancing, and improving operational efficiency. With a strong background in city planning and a Master of Public Administration degree, her leadership is expected to enhance the quality of life for Monte Sereno residents.
We're thrilled to have Diana take on the role of city manager permanently, said Mayor Burton Craig, adding that her experience and knowledge, coupled with her extensive background in city planning, makes her the ideal choice to lead Monte Sereno.
I am looking forward to continuing to work with City Council, staff and residents to further our top priorities, which include wildfire prevention and safety, balancing the city budget, implementing our Housing Element programs, updating the General Plan and improving internal operations to increase efficiency.
