It's harder than ever to access SFO's most exclusive lounge
Briefly

The American Express Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport is temporarily closed due to ongoing construction, with a substitute lounge opening in Terminal 2 on June 15. The original lounge, recently remodeled, featured luxury amenities and extensive space but is now inaccessible. Although the closing poses inconvenience, American Express assures travelers that they can still enjoy similar services at the new location, ensuring continued access for Centurion and Platinum card members during the transition.
American Express was quick to assuage business and consumer travelers, noting that the full closure is temporary and that a version of the Centurion Lounge is relocating to another wing at SFO in the interim.
The Centurion Lounge at SFO became a travel luxury enshrined in a literal glass case, featuring 16,000 square feet, two kitchens, and a full bar.
