Fatal Overnight Shooting In SF's Rincon Hill Area Leaves One Dead
"There was a fatal shooting early Monday on SF's Rincon Hill, near the entrance to the Bay Bridge, that left one person dead. The latest homicide in San Francisco took place around 2:02 am Monday, when police found a person suffering from a gunshot wound on the 500 block of Harrison Street near the intersection of Harrison and Second streets, a block down from the onramp to the Bay Bridge. "Officers rendered aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation," the SFPD says in a release."
"Arriving paramedics took the victim to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead. No further details about the crime scene or victim have been shared. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the SFPD tip line at 415-575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD. Tipsters can remain anonymous. This was San Francisco's fifth homicide of the year to date, following a fatal stabbing on Friday in the Mission District."
