While Amami is closed until further notice, those who crave Japanese comfort food can go to Chacho Sushi at 4808 Mission St., an 11-minute walk south from Amami near Onondaga Avenue."

The San Francisco Public Library Excelsior branch (4400 Mission St.) offers Fei-Fei Li's memoir The World I See, a book club on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and a youth chess club on Feb. 14, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. for ages five to 18.
