Emergency crews recovered a badly decomposed cadaver from Ocean Beach in San Francisco on Friday night, after beach-goers reported a body floating in the water. The discovery was made near the intersection of Great Highway and Balboa Street. First responders confirmed it was indeed a human body, but the SF Medical Examiner's office has yet to establish the time the body had spent in the water, as well as the victim's age and gender. Currently, foul play is not suspected, and this incident is unrelated to a separate drowning tragedy occurring on May 8.
According to the Chronicle, the body was spotted at 458 Great Highway, which is around the intersection of the Great Highway and Balboa Street.
Foul play is not suspected at this time, as the SF Medical Examinerâs office has not yet determined how long the body was in the water.
