Burned opossum with babies recovering after being rescued from Bay Bridge

On Monday morning, a mother opossum with her young babies was rescued from the Bay Bridge. The opossum, believed to have been hiding in a car, suffered burns from the engine before falling onto the bridge. Staff at Wildcare Wildlife Hospital in San Rafael found the opossum and are currently treating her for burns on her paws and tail. The opossum and her month-old babies will be returned to the wild once she has fully recovered from her injuries.
