BTS' Suga posts adorable video of his secret Bay to Breakers race
Suga ran Bay to Breakers two weeks before BTS’ sold-out Stanford Stadium show and posted an edited Instagram video of the day. After being spotted limping during the May 17 performance, members said he had run a marathon earlier. He started from a Menlo Park hotel for the 8 a.m. race, applied sunscreen, and told a companion to keep their own pace. He appeared in the crowd wearing casual athletic clothes and a bright blue “Swim” hat, with results listed under Min Yunki. The route included downtown San Francisco, Golden Gate Park, and Hayes Street Hill, described as an uphill climb that “won’t end.” He returned to his hotel exhausted and sang a Korean translation of “Ripped Pants,” then later performed to over 50,000 fans at Stanford Stadium. Other members also did local side trips, including Jin at Great America and RM at the “crying tree.”
"“There's someone who ran a race in the middle of a tour??!! That's me,” the text reads in Korean. The day started in his Menlo Park hotel room, waking up early to make the 8 a.m. start time, and applying lots of sunscreen. Once at the starting line, Suga can be heard telling a running companion, “Let's go at our own pace” as runners begin streaming past."
