Kimmora Teo of Wilcox was named Bay Area News Group high school athlete of the week. Teo received 55.7% of the online vote, beating College Park basketball player Isabella Lawson, who received 42.9%. Ranked in the top 10 in the state and first in the Central Coast Section, Teo won the Judy Rider Memorial at Hollister High. She won every match by fall (pin) or technical fall (15-point differential) and pinned the second-ranked CCS opponent from Monterey in the final. Nominations must be emailed by Monday at 11 a.m., but only votes submitted through the online poll count.
