Beaches from Tomales Bay to Santa Cruz offer dog-friendly access with a range of conditions and amenities. Kehoe Beach features a short 0.6-mile trail through grassy hills, wildflowers, and mustard plants; few nearby restaurants mean packing food. Baker Beach provides picnic areas and Golden Gate Bridge views but warns of nudity at the north end. Limantour Beach is wide, tranquil, and offers free parking. Crissy Field East Beach allows off-leash play in much of the water area while requiring leashes in the Wildlife Protection Area and offers the Warming Hut for coffee. Kehoe Beach The 0.6 mile trail to the beach is short (even if you've got kids in tow, chances are good you'll hear no complaining). The beautiful grassy hills, wildflowers, and mustard plants along the trail make the trip worth it.
