""Beyond the visual enhancements, what truly matters is how our guests feel: at ease, genuinely welcomed, connected to their surroundings," says Afonso Cunha, Banyan Tree Mayakoba's general manager."
""The refreshed concept for the residences was created in collaboration with interior design studio Room 1804 and blends Banyan Tree's Asian heritage with the region's landscape and Mayan roots.""
""Expansive windows, open layouts, and reworked terraces flow into private outdoor spaces with upgraded pools and new modular lounge furnishings, boosting the sense of seclusion that has long been one of the resort's main draws.""
Banyan Tree Mayakoba has completed a five-year, $100 million renovation, featuring redesigned villas and the new Japanese omakase speakeasy, Suna. The redesign integrates Banyan Tree's Asian heritage with local Mayan influences, utilizing natural materials and handcrafted furnishings. The project emphasizes a seamless indoor-outdoor experience with expansive windows and upgraded outdoor spaces. Previous renovations included family-friendly residences and the adults-only Sur Beach Club. Future updates will enhance dining options, including La Cocina Corazon and a refreshed Saffron restaurant.
