A man and a woman were found dead in a car parked in a San Jose State University garage. Campus police were called to the West Garage at 350 S. 4th St. around 2 p.m. Saturday after someone saw the pair earlier in the day and assumed they were sleeping. When the person returned hours later and found them still in the car, authorities were alerted. Officers attempted lifesaving efforts, but San Jose firefighters declared both individuals deceased shortly afterward. The individuals have not been identified and are not confirmed as SJSU students or faculty. Investigators are examining whether an overdose caused the deaths, and no additional details were released while the investigation continues.
