"As part of ongoing investigations under Operation Tara, Gardaí have seized approximately €830,000 of controlled drugs. The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks, at all levels - international, national, local - involved in the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs."

A number of follow-up searches were conducted this morning, Monday 6th April 2026, which resulted in the further recovery of 13 kilos of suspected ketamine, with an approximate value of €770,000."
"A man aged in his 20s was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in Co. Dublin. The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis."
Gardaí from the Ronanstown Drugs Unit conducted searches in Lucan, recovering a total of 14kg of suspected ketamine valued at approximately €830,000. The initial seizure on Sunday included 1kg worth €60,000, followed by an additional 13kg valued at €770,000 on Monday. A man in his 20s was arrested under drug trafficking laws. The drugs will be analyzed by Forensic Science Ireland, and investigations are ongoing as part of Operation Tara, aimed at disrupting drug trafficking networks.
