The police officer, Robert Allsup, responded to the scene and witnessed Mohammed threatening the roommate's life. After issuing warnings, Allsup shot Mohammed multiple times, preventing further harm. The District Attorney's Office concluded that Allsup's actions were justified, as Mohammed posed an imminent danger to the roommate.
