"Sited along the banks of the Big Blackfoot River, the ranch of movie fame includes a 5,000-square-foot log mansion with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, a clubhouse, a 100-year-old restored barn and a horse stable. A salmonfly hatch found on the property featured prominently in the 1992 drama, which starred Brad Pitt and Craig Sheffer with Robert Redford as the director."
"Spanning 4,300 square feet, the clubhouse boasts a catering kitchen, a hand-carved wet bar and a game room set under voluminous cathedral-style ceilings. An outdoor pavilion near the river has a stone fireplace, a catering kitchen and an outdoor shower."
"Listed for as much as $15 million in 2013, the ranch is now offered at $11.5 million. The other property, a 550-acre ranch known as Buffalo Trail Ranch, is listed for sale at $5.75 million, down from $7.5 million."
Tom Meredith, former Dell Chief Financial Officer, has adjusted prices on two Montana ranches along the Big Blackfoot River. The first property spans 612 acres and gained fame as a filming location for the 1992 Oscar-winning film 'A River Runs Through It.' It features a 5,000-square-foot log mansion with four bedrooms, a 4,300-square-foot clubhouse with catering kitchen and wet bar, a restored 100-year-old barn, and horse stable. Originally listed at $15 million in 2013, it now sells for $11.5 million. The second property, Buffalo Trail Ranch, encompasses 550 acres with 1.5 miles of riverfront and includes a renovated settler's cabin and three guest cabins. Its price dropped from $7.5 million to $5.75 million. Meredith acquired both properties during the 1990s.
