Trump upends federal workforce with threat to fire policy makers opposing him
Briefly

On Friday, President Trump announced a new rule via the Office of Personnel Management to more easily terminate federal workers who do not support his administration’s policies. This rule, known as 'Schedule F', reclassifies certain government employees, removing their civil service protections and making them at-will employees. About 50,000 federal workers could potentially be dismissed for either inadequate performance or supposed subversion of presidential directives. Trump emphasized the need for government accountability and efficiency, insisting that it should operate 'like a business' and promising to root out corruption.
If these government workers refuse to advance the policy interests of the President, or are engaging in corrupt behavior, they should no longer have a job.
This is common sense, and will allow the federal government to finally be 'run like a business. We must root out corruption and implement accountability in our Federal Workforce!
Policy-making federal employees have a tremendous amount of influence over our laws and our lives. Such employees must be held to the highest standards of conduct.
