Micheál Carrigy, a TD for Longford-Westmeath, was elected as the new Chair of the Fine Gael parliamentary party during a meeting held at Leinster House. His election follows the departure of former Chair Alan Farrell, who lost his seat in the General Election. In his acceptance remarks, Carrigy expressed his honor and excitement to lead the party and emphasized the blend of new talent and experience available within Fine Gael.
